Stoopwing
A cliff-nesting predator that hunts by falling. Stoopwings take prey off open ground in a single pass and are gone before the noise arrives.
Common enough on temperate worlds that most survey briefings mention them, and dismissive enough of the briefing that most crews meet one anyway.
