Ship's Knife

Every spacer carries one and none of them think of it as a weapon. Blunt-tipped so you cannot put it through a suit, lanyarded so you cannot lose it in zero gravity, and sharp enough to cut a line under load.

Handed out free with a berth on most ships. The Alazar has a drawer of them.
